The Devil in Ms. Jones

No wonder she has such a problem with SCOTUS

In other words, Scalia concurs.

"that a death sentence was a service to defendants because it allowed them to make peace with God." This is the part of it that really made my head explode. What. the. FUCK?

She is a perfect addition to the shrieking cacophony of bigotry heaved around by our conservative betters*.

This reminds me less of Stravinsky and more of Stockhausen:

Q: Have you ever read an Edith Jones opinion? A: No, but I do believe I have stepped in some.

Of course, Judge Jones would very much prefer that the choice was "death or death", given her past history of failing to care that the defendant's lawyer literally slept through the case, fry the bastard already so he can "make peace with God".

Never go full that-word, as they say.

Of the "sleeping in the courtroom" part, no doubt.

I wonder if she's aware that Dred Scott v. Sandford can't be used as precedent anymore.
