Scientists adjust the clocks of GPS satellites to match those on Earth, supposedly to "account for gravitational time dilation" but WE ALL KNOW THEY ARE JUST TRYING TO MAKE AMERICA WEAKER BY MAKING US WAKE UP LATE
I was up in Park City a couple weeks ago- by the time you get to Deer Valley towards the ski slopes you're at about 10K. Bad place to have to push heavy gear- even worse place to get a round of bronchitis...
I remember when Tucson made the change- I always assumed it was at the request of the tourism bureau to eliminate some of those hellish June high temp readings from the official record. The airport weather station consistently under reports our rainfall totals, also too
When they started using Centigrade instead of Fahrenheit, the temperatures started looking a lot lower. Shouldn't Faux News be all over this scandal?

It's really warm in my office, but it's really cold outside. Proof that the climate is always in flux.
