I can't deal with American news channels. The sensationalism and the bias are galling. Foreign sources are a little better, like Al Jazeera, but they focus on Biden's addresses. All of which is extremely disappointing because Jen Psaki is the best Press Sec. we've had in a long time.
My 92-year-old parents have a satellite (since there's no such thing as cable out where they live. Yet.) for one thing, and one thing only, NFL football. Mom likes the bald guy, whoever that is, on the pregame show. The rest of the time, they read books from the library and two local papers. They have remained staunch, working class Democrats to this day.
That lack of online poisoning makes a big difference in what could be.
Edit: They also watch the local 11 o'clock news at least through the end of the weather.
