Sort of reminds me of when George W.Bush appointed all those 20 something political gofers to run all the nation building programs in Iraq (which like Wonkette comments, were supposedly not allowed. The plans were for us to get in there, win the war, and get out quickly). Resulting in billions of dollars in lost cash, rampant corruption, thousand of killed and wounded US troops, hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed and wounded, and of course a virtual civil war within Iraq, leading to an enabled ISIS.
We also have Trump and family who have no idea how government works but thinks the whole point of it is to make them money. I saw examples of the same thing in my state when a Republican governor took over in 2013, with a couple of 24 year old campaign helpers with non-existent resumes taking high level jobs, with big salary increases as soon as they sat behind their desk. Maybe all the pee hookers are not just in Russia.
