Fact: It didn't have any lasers to kill terrorists, so what good was it? The Republican War on Science continues to make advances, as we learn this week that one of four aging satellites used to monitor dwindling polar ice has failed, and that while there had once been a twin satellite that could have replaced it, Congress voted earlier this year that it was too expensive to store, so it was dismantled. Bummer, huh?
Leaving aside the GOP climate change denial, I'm surprised the military didn't march on Congress and explain a few things to Rogers and others. The melting of the polar ice is opening up new, navigable sea channels that the military has certainly has an interest in monitoring.
I'm with Toots! Sorry but, with all due deference, screw peaceful democratic transition. Easy to justify the stripping down. We need to be exacting DAMAGES, for this Republican-imposed side excursion in pure, unadulterated fuckery. Doing it in dollars is very polite, compared to doing it in guillotine strokes.
(Worked in budget shop, throwing big numbers around for fun. Does anybody really think that the social and economic cost of the Republican clown trip will be anything less than hundreds of billions of dollars? Should I just go for it, and suggest trillions? My neck hurts, from so much SMH.)
For realz and true?
So the F-35 is gonna gotta fo'-sho gonna get built?
yeah, that would explain it

"... metaphor for the state of all, under the GOP."
Dare I say FIFY?
The military has been planning for climate change since the 70s. They know it's real.
