GOP, Fox Just Concerned Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez And Ilhan Omar Are Terrorists, Is All
They're going to get someone killed.
Conservatives are afraid of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez because she thinks we could prevent an environmental catastrophe if we stopped treating the earth like a giant litter box. In simpler times, they'd have just dismissed her as an airhead hippie who likes to tongue kiss trees. In the post Fox News era, the Right seems to have confused Ocasio-Cortez with the Batman villain Ra's al Ghul, who believes the only way to save the planet is to slaughter most of its inhabitants. That plan looked better in PowerPoint.
In a fundraising email yesterday, the Ohio College Republicans called Ocasio-Cortez a "domestic terrorist." They base this claim on the shocking fact that their fellow students consider the youngest congresswoman in history a "role model." The College Republicans think it's bad enough that their "Marxist professors" keep trying to brainwash them to "hate America and capitalism." Now AOC is making socialism great again. We should point out that Intro to Hating America & Capitalism is an elective at most liberal arts colleges. They could just take badminton or volleyball like we did.

College Republicans -- truly nothing worse Twitter
"Domestic terrorist" is normally a term reserved for the likes of the Unabomber, Timothy McVeigh, or the white nationalists that conservatives don't believe exist. Ocasio-Cortez understandably objected to the defamatory accusation because it's the kind of thing that could get a public figure like her killed.

After Ocasio-Cortez called them out on Twitter, the Ohio College Republicans apologized and explained away the blood libel as just an "unauthorized email sent out in our name." However, Dave Levinthal at The Center for Public Integrity observed that the organization has sent out similar emails over the past month attacking AOC as next of kin to Marx. The only major difference was the grosser subject line.
The emails hilariously suggest that young people are "impressionable" and that like a National Review-reading Charles Atlas, they can quickly turn a liberal weakling into a conservative strongman. Their brainwashing is the all-American kind. The emails were all signed by Tom Ferrall, the chairman of the Ohio Federation of College Republicans. Ferrall's Twitter profile is locked now but his cover photo shows him towering over Ben Shapiro.
Republicans, collegiate or otherwise, are fundraising up a storm over the fear of brown women who speak out loud. They don't care if this puts anyone's actual life at risk. Rep. Ilhan Omar is another revenue generator for the Right. Omar spoke last month at a fundraiser for the Council on American-Islamic Relations. She mentioned that the organization "was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties." The people charged with monitoring every word a freshman congresswoman utters believed they'd found even more proof that Omar is "not one of us," and it's not because she didn't know when CAIR was founded.Brian Kilmeade on "Fox & Friends" actually wondered if Omar was "an American first." Omar really only has herself to blame for apparently inventing the "dual loyalty" charge.
The New York Post out-Posted itself today with this abomination of a front page. It both misinterprets what Omar actually said and needlessly triggers its New York-based readers. We know Omar is Muslim so is legally liable for 9/11 in ways no white person ever is for slavery, Jim Crow, or the Green Book movie. But this is a bit much.

Sweet Christ The New York Post
Rep. Dan Crenshaw couldn't believe a member of Congress would describe 9/11 so callously. We're pretty sure he's met Donald Trump. The president once confused 9/11 with the convenience store chain. We weren't subjected then to any full-page images of human beings dying horribly. Omar also had her life threatened a couple times in the past week. It's only polite to lay off her for a while until she no longer actively fears orphaning her daughter. Emily Post would probably frown at linking someone under these circumstances to the worst terrorist attack in US history.
This is dangerous incitement, given the death threats I face. I hope leaders of both parties will join me in condem… https: //t.co/UBPvu7Z1Jx

Ocasio-Cortez asked the GOP directly what it would take to stop their fearmongering and scapegoating. We're afraid of what the answer is.

republicans will only be happy once there are no dems in America.
fify.
The reality here is that the only leftist militants on the map in a long time have been ecoterrorists, and they have been noteworthy for following their line about valuing life well enough not to kill people on purpose.
