An op-ed written by California state Assembly member Travis Allen in the Washington Examiner is getting a lot of traction in the Wingnut-O-Sphere today, perhaps because the headline of said op-ed is "California Legalizes Child Prostitution." WOAH IF TRUE! Man, that sure sounds terrible! Why does California want all the children to have sex for money? That is for sure a terrible thing, it is very surprising that someone would want that! One would just think that child sex-trafficking would be something that we could all agree to be universally against!
I've been told a lot by a politically active friend that it's not stupidity, but deliberate deception (at least by the people putting the info out). I did a search of the headline in question and every result claiming this happened is a right wing crazy site, including racist Stormfront. Out of 10 pages worth of results, only 3 or 4 conservative sites were pointing out that it's not true.I believe that the majority of sites claiming it's true know it isn't.
Does this bill or law have a title, and an executive summary about how the minors are rescued from the trade? Are detractors ignoring that, to dig in and bring out "no arrest" out of context?I hope this catches on. I wonder if it could help adult trafficking victims.
Well, in this case the bible is wrong; on both these counts. Doesn't happen often, but nothing written by man is perfect. And I refuse to believe a deity would command someone to be killed because they were forced into a taboo act. Nor will I believe that such a deity would sanction killing a child for talking back to his/her parents. Punish yes, but not in capital fashion. Sanctioning either act is the behavior of a psychopathic monster. And God is not a psychopathic monster, so the bible *MUST* be either incorrect or incorrectly translated.
I also don't know about the Sharknados, but I do think they need to stop punishing addicts for being addicted. Rehab is a much better choice. Keeps beds in the jails free for the *real* criminals. Like the pimps who traffic children.
Any other candidate in history would have had their career destroyed over this one photo. There are many images of Trump, Ivanka, Malenia etc,B-b-but emails and Benghazi.IOKIYAR.
