I wish I had her filter to make myself look better. Ah, but as Dorothy Parker reminded us, "It is true that beauty is only skin-deep – but ugly goes clear to the bone."

Sinema's entire snotty rich girl shtick got very old very fast.

> Leaders who understand servant leadership

Because when you think of Trump and Trumpists, the phrase "servant leadership" immediately springs to mind...

skinnercitycyclist's avatar

It's one of those stale, idiotic evangelical catch phrases, like "Jezebel spirit."

I want to know what he thinks the "mission" is.

I can't be sure, but I imagine the refrain of this Randy Newman song might sum it up:

Dunno, but he'll definitely need a cross and a flag.

They only want what's best for you, if "you" happens to be a white nationalist multi billionaire like Charles Koch or Rebekah Mercer.

Sherrod Brown just got a bit of a break with Frank LaRose's high profile face plant as the Issue 1 poster boy. If he's the nominee Brown might very well win by a big margin. That's still a long way off though.

Maybe we're hearing it wrong? "Chains"?

Manchin thinks he's going to run for President. Because just because you can't win your own state doesn't mean the rest of them won't be all in.

Houseboat Joe knows that some fat cat repub donors will give him $$$ in the hope that he could take some Democratic votes. That, and being in front of a camera, which to him is crack.

I look forward to Sinema’s 2025 appearance on the Lara Logan show.

When Lake tried to call election fraud on Issue 1 even Ohio Republicans were like “Gtfo of our state. You’re just making it worse”

I still like Tester to win in Montana (or at least not get blown out), dude is a really good campaigner and has support across the state.

It seems to me that on-the ground retail campaigns do better than television blitzes in rural states.

If he doesn't win and Biden does, I would expect Jon to be on a Cabinet short list for Term 2....Agriculture, VA or Interior after the regular re-shuffle of the Cabinet deck.

Maybe Homeland Security as a long shot....I'd actually like that one. Let Abbott or DeSantis try and intimidate him.... FAFO ensues

I would never put stock in any polls to be honest. Democrats just need to go out and vote. Always assume there's plenty of Republican votes, more than you think - and go vote.

Senator Manic Pixie of the Hot Topic Party will end up a "non-partisan" contributor on NewsMax. I don't think that will support her lifestyle all too well.

I'm sure she has developed other income streams.

Matt Rosendale is a complete and utter piece of shit and the fact that he's my rep makes me want to throw up.

Matt Rosendale is a complete and utter piece of shit and the fact that......he will again get his ass handed to him by Jon Tester brings a smile to my face.

peregrin's avatar

I really, really hope so. This state has swung wildly MAGA since the last election. (See Editrix having to move to Detroit because it had gotten so hostile.)

I commiserate. My Senators are Rubio and Scott....

As long as Democrats lean hard into Dobbs they will not lose the Senate and will flip the House. If they FA and downplay Dobbs they might screw it up.

Now if only the men in power would pay attention to other issues concerning women, like childcare, maternal/neonatal mortality, pay gap, prison reform, the Equal Rights Amendment. These are issues for women of all colors, so it broadens the base from just Black women.

Chuck Dickens's avatar

Judiciary/ court reform too

John Sweet's avatar

Not sure how that can help Manchin or Tester much.

Tina Mouse's avatar

I hope Manchin runs as an independent, and the Dems do not put up a candidate.

OTOH that is what Dems have been doing for Vermont Jesus, and he repaid the party by helping to elect Trump. But WV is not Vermont, so it is probably the best that can be done.

Pushing hard with Dobbs is too much of a winning strategy at this point.
