Well, we do owe Dole for his characterization of the "Committee to Re-Elect the President": CREP (long e)

But probably for different reasons.

Huh. For some reason I thought this was Olympia Snowe's book...

yeah, they're mad about the 60s but they actually think the decline of western civilization began with the enlightenment.

the enlightenment. because man stood up to god.

i wish i was making that up and makes me all nostalgic for ancient rome.

you know i think it's about time to address this issue head on:

cheetos are awesome.

we need to be bigger than our meanest prejudices.

Soros, a little perspective, please. In current terms, Mittens was not "far, far right wing". In baseline ideology, he was probably only a bit to the right of President Obama.

What turned people against him was the clear impression that he had no moral core, and that he therefore might agree to policies that he didn't truly believe in, because of party affiliation.

Also, he was a practicing Mormon, i.e., victim of a recent religious scam. (NOTE: I know quite a few Mormons. They are all great people. I wouldn't vote for any of them for dogcatcher if you gave me a million dollars).

I'd like to think that the American people rejected conservatism in the last election, but I'm only certain that they rejected Mitt Romney.

Scary.

Gerrymandering. Off-year election. If we can't figure out how to get the left off of its ass and into the voting booths, we can savor six years of uninterrupted bullshit from what is supposed to be our legislature.

Even shorter Snowe: Blah blah blah.

Becoming sensible is what ex-Repos do when they want their "legacy" to look less evil.

Fuck them.

Yeah, it is a mistake to think they are stupid. Many of them are quite intelligent, but thoroughly malign.

Of course, those characteristics have sustained quite a few movements over the years.

Dear Ms. Snowe,

Decided to tell your colleagues what stupid fks they are -- ONCE YOU'RE OUT OF OFFICE? Your book should be called "Olympia -- Profile in Cowardice".

Thanks for nothing, The World

I got distracted by the cute cartoon banana that is a metabolism-destroying food I should avoid at all costs. I thought potassium was good for you. Er, these nice young men are not prolonging my life?
