I understand that you may choose not do firearms practice in your backyard in our closely packed suburban neighborhood, but I trust myself, I trust my aim, and I have the common sense to shoot at a little target taped to our shared fence instead of intentionally at a person. Do accidents happen? Sure, but I can't live my life in fear and I can't let fear stop me from doing what I love at any given moment in wheresoever I choose. I have rights! If I want to fire off live rounds in my own backyard instead of being forced to trek aaaaaaall the way to a firing range or a less densely populated rural or wilderness area, it's my property and my right. No one is making you do target practice! If you're so scared, cower inside while I practice. Wear a bullet proof vest if you want. No one is stopping you!

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised that the same people who were willing to sacrifice children at the altar of gun culture worship are willing to sacrifice children to maintain the fiction of their entitlement and their need to be in control no matter what, but it still saddens me.

What this means is the professional opinion of your superintendent doesn't matter, the opinion of your school board doesn't matter, and you as parents, your opinion doesn't matter. That's right, your "professional" opinion means absolutely nothing to the coronavirus.

My kid was in school the last half of last year, wearing his mask just about all day. He uses a nebulizer on occasion. Know what? He didn't need it once last winter, and I've heard more strangulation noises when I try to feed him vegetables.
