David Brooks Finds Himself

Reference Tone congratulates David Brooks on coming out of the closet with today column, "Whose Team Am I On?" ("Already I feel the tug, the love that dare not speak its name," Brooks moans.) We're not surprised, of course. Brooks's (ahem) bi-weekly column has lately been marked by a kind of adolescent groping for identity. He's disappointed in his friends , he's not having fun , he wonders if people really fall in love anymore . Has anyone checked in his notebook for bad poetry? We hear he's been playing "Mad World" over and over and over....
