Bernie is such a tool. If he had not been a grasping, sexist, hateful grifter who encouraged his voters to call Clinton corrupt, a bitch, and tell her to make a sandwich we would not have had Trump. If he had not called her corrupt and unqualified we would not have Trump. Had he not been so toxic we would not have Trump. He has never disavowed the tide of hatred that the Russian troll army released and his supporters joined.

He is a grifter. He is for sale. And his service is trashing the Democratic party.

Take a class, Stephen, don't be a useful idiot.https://www.washingtonpost....

He read "magazines like The Nation and old issues of The New Masses" like every over-educated asshole in a Woody Allen movie.

Speaking of the "little magazines" of that era, didn't the Woodman's characters also read Dissent and Commentary? And everyone knows what you come down with when those two merge.

I was a 21 year old small-government libertarian, and am now a 45 year old Keynesian liberal. What kind of authority does that give me to call supply side economics some crackpot bullshit?

His boat may be borne back ceaselessly into the past, but the Great Brooksby no longer believes in the orgastic future that year by year recedes before him.

That's so odd, considering that he could turn to the Nobel Laureate at the next desk in the opinion writers' room and just ask.

I love the then/now contrast. It’s like when we found out that “William the Bloody” was just a really bad poet.
