DC Residents, Soul Asylum Urge Hoyer to Support Runaway Train Bill
Every day, trains carrying unimaginably deadly materials run straight though our fair district on ancient, poorly maintained tracks, bound for god knows where, always moments away from derailing and killing thousands.
The train go pretty damn close to Capitol Hill, so you'd think Congress, who generally have no real problem with a mass DC holocaust, might actually care to pass a bill changing the route of these trains of death.
But the plan currently before the house would send the trains right into Hoyer's Maryland district, so, uh, no go. The answer to us is clear -- send the trains to Alexandria instead andprayfor a derailment.
