The Tea Party finally noticed that it turned five like a week and a half ago, so what could these insurgent grassroots heartland Willy Lomans do but get together with a bunch of Senators and millionaires in Washington DC to celebrate? Michelle Cottle of the Daily Beast
What is this with M'Naghton and the ex-presidents' band? Last time they looked like a barbershop quartet. Here I'm sure they've just reached "looked over Jordan, and what'd I see?", and Barry's about to do the response "A band of angels, comin' after me".
If you didn&#039;t see last night&#039;s Bill Moyers interview with Ian Haney L&oacute;pez on the Dog Whistle Politics of Race the transcript and video are here: <a href="http://billmoyers.com/episo..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://billmoyers.com/episode/ian-haney-lopez-on-...">http://billmoyers.com/episo... Great quote from Reagan about a &quot;young buck buying a T-bone steak with food stamps&quot;.
I don&#039;t think I&#039;ve grasped your point. (This could be because I&#039;ve had a couple of pints, but still). I think of myself as a liberal. I disliked Andrew Breitbart because he was a lying asshole who had enough charisma to sell his lies to those willing to believe them. I have sympathy for his family and friends, but on balance I have to admit that I am pleased that he can no longer spout convincing and divisive bullshit. Allegedly, he had a sense of humor, so I -- unlike Alex -- have no problem making fun of his post-mortality.
Regarding the Grand Canyon, the reason that one might feel a sense of shame, or simple annoyance, at a liberal booth hawking Obama tchochkes is that the President -- extraordinary human being that he is -- is not much of a liberal. I base this judgment on the fact that I am to the left of President Obama on, well, everything; while my liberal friends consider me almost suspiciously centrist.
Yes, which is why England went to such great pains to keep New Amsterdam culturally distinct, never sailing any fleets into its undefended harbor or demanding the governor-general change its name.
Good ol&#039; Silent Cal, Harvard-educated businessman, Governor of Massachusetts, the <i>exact and total and complete opposite</i> of that garrulous pansy FDR, a Harvard-educated businessman, Governor of <b>liberal</b> New York. Which is in <b>liberal</b> Noo England, you know, so it must be some kinda foreign.
I continue to get a kick out of Tea Baggers claiming libruls stuck them with that handle!
First time I read that TBers were self-identifying as such I said to myself &quot;Obviously, those folks don&#039;t read Wonkette...&quot;
Also known as the Klein Butthole.
It means Jon McNaughton has found a successful grift.

Means McNaughton is a shitty artist.
Ah, a great example of why I still hate the memory of Reagan more than almost any other domestic motherfucker.

Grandpa Walton (see above). &quot;Baby needs shoes!&quot;
Or, it could be Pat Buchanan: &quot;Please, please, please - somebody invite me to be on tv today!&quot;
What does that painting even mean?
As my high school US history teacher always said, &quot;Warren G. Harding, that giant of the American political system.&quot;
