If I was constantly demonized in the press, by so-called religious people, whole congregations, and creepy elected officials, not to mention threats of being killed by some gun nut with a grudge, I would be unduly stressed as well. We pay far too much attention about how others live their lives.
"According to a recent study by an American medical institute, loneliness is the leading cause of depression among middle-aged females."
Isn't there a pandemic of loneliness among middle-aged males? We must feel sympathetic to the lonely and/or incel males? Isn't that fact being mentioned as a big problem that the gov't/society/women must solve? But if its "middle-aged females" who are lonely, then we need to attack them for being lonely.
Also, if being "lonely" (i.e. single?) was this deadly, then lesbians wouldn't be the devil. They help solve the problem the author claims exists.
I should have a great life expectancy. I'm a Jewish pagan agnostic who found my one true love in my 60s. We're DINKs and extraordinarily happy, and in August we'll be married.
Blacks have lower average life expectancy than whites. It was attributed to the added stresses of racism that all black people have to deal with every day.
And all this time it was because they went against God's plan and chose to be black.
Total nonsense. The logical conclusion is that by changing your religion, you can alter your life expectancy. But the best life outcomes are now in nations that are mostly 'non-religious', like the Nordic nations.
This is much like how wingnuts harass and bully trans people to the point of driving many of them to suicide, then point to the higher than average suicide rate to claim than trans people are “mentally unstable.”
In other words, “it’s not our fault the people we love to bully are killing themselves! How dare you suggest that!”
"...long-term, family-based relationships (meaning, committed relationships that result in the production of children)..."
Apparently, he knows nothing about maternal mortality rates. That "production" probably does relate to a shorter life expectancy when these maternal mortality rates are factored in.
This reminds me a little bit of the terribly concerned woman who wrote in to LIFE Magazine (a publication that was a BFD back in the day, kids) about the couple behind the Loving v. Virginia case. That was the case in which SCOTUS invalidated laws against interracial marriage. Mrs. Terribly Concerned chided the Lovings for thinking only of themselves, not of their children, who would bear the stigma of not belonging fully to either race.
Of course, Mrs. Terribly Concerned would have been terribly insulted had anyone replied, "That stigma accrues entirely due to the words and actions of bigots such as yourself."
2 things. 1, as a Jew, I feel that Christians and Muslims might do better with lifespan if instead of going for martyrdom they’d stuck with Pikuach Nefresh.
2, I have lived alone for a decade at this point. Doing fine. My asexual ass is fine doing the Maiden Aunt thing.

I may be going out on a limb here, but I highly doubt that "Petsy" was chased away from Oxford because of her Conservative personal beliefs.
The place is pretty conservative to start with, but...
maybe some colleges are more liberal or conservative individually?? I'm open to being set straight by someone who knows better than I.

Asexual woman who adores living alone here.

To anyone who bases any argument on “god’s plan,” I say grow the fuck up and think for your fucking self.

Simply put, there is no such thing as a "healthy family."
It's an oxymoron.
A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story? I'd go with The Flaming Bed.

I believe that it has been shown that racism has negative health impacts on Black and Indigenous people- regardless of socio-economic level as well.

Satan WAS a lesbian? What is Satan now?
All things to all people. Not a big old scold like that Jesus fellah.
Bi
Lucifer definitely was.
