I sometimes have a chuckle over "audible flatulence," as it were. My wife does not share the joy.

Itโ€™s uplifting, even if itโ€™s another state (not mine). Our state is doing good, progressive things too. And bravo to Uber for showing true courage by threatening to stop all business in the state. Their Chief Officer makes $24 million per year, or $461,500 per week. They simply cannot afford to exist without exploiting some drivers. Iโ€™m sure the red states will exempt you from fair labor laws, in exchange for hefty kickbacks. In the long run, they are worth the investment.

A โ€œWanker.โ€ Because conservative media is all about the mutual masterbation.

The trouble with these policies is they take too damn long to implement. So all the GOP has to do is wait 16 seconds and then start the parade of โ€œThey promised you everything and what did you get?โ€ ads.

They made the same empty threats here in California when AB 5 passed to ensure the drivers are paid fairly.

Exactly. What are they going to do, just let someone else come in and overrun the market in those areas,? If they leave, someone else will come in, someone else that allows their employees to unionize. The whole problem with Lyft and Uber is if they are publicly traded companies. So you have a bunch of assholes getting rich off of workers who have no benefits or guarantees, the best way to run an ethical company like that it's for it to be a private company. One that starts out with unionized labor. One in which the company is unionized before the ink has dried on the charger

Uber and Lyft unionized in NYC a couple years back...that needs to become a national thing

For the past two and a half years of my life I've been doing nothing but writing. Then I got sick. I'm hoping to have a few more rough draft chapters to my editor in the foreseeable future. Don't ask me what my definition of - foreseeable future means.

"There are plenty of moderate Democrats. However, they want to help people, not feed their massive egos. "

And perhaps seeing what progressive policy can do might help get their heads out of their asses...No democrat has ANY business being 'moderate' in these times...
