I'm not betting Devin Nunes' ranch on Robert Mueller. He's a career Republican, and he can settle in comfortably with GOP "rules" governing his testimony. He'll dutifully recite passages from his report, ride off into the sunset, and rake in extravagant speaking fees at conservative clambakes.

Nancy Pelosi, it's goddamn time to have an investigation specifically focused on preparing articles of impeachment. Stop the rest of this useless bullshit and get it going.
If she pushes for impeachment too soon and fails (she can't get it through the Senate anyway), Trump can claim vindication, and Democratic voters can be demoralized and not turn out. Not just that but Trump fanatics will turn out en masse and vote for him again just to defend him. She has to figure out the specific timing to expose Trump---use impeachment investigations to expose Trump and dissuade moderate voters from even thinking of looking at Trump on Election Day.
