Florida is now one of the most unaffordable places to live. Some Disney cast members live in their cars because they can't afford to live anywhere near the parks.

It would be worse there.

Disneyland is in California. Go there instead.

Don't give Florida any money.

Dubai-style megadomes, indoor pools like Great Wolf Lodge, ski slopes and winter parks as well.

Imagine a Disney-run ski resort.

Or people who can only take one or two days before having to be back at work being able to drive straight from NYC or Boston or take a ferry/bus from Toronto and spend those days in a troplical resort in the middle of winter.

"Fitch...[sees] ...'significant risk to the credit quality' of Reedy Creek's bonds, and [is] warning that a failure to resolve this issue 'could alter our view of Florida's commitment to preserve bondholder rights and weaken our view of the operating environment for Florida governments.'"

Florida better take this shit seriously. In the mid-1980's, there was a fad of states selling bonds to European investors. Baring Brothers announced they would consider purchasing sovereign debt of 49 states, but not Mississippi's.

Why pick on them? Because after our Civil War, Mississippi defaulted on state bonds it had issued after it tried to secede. Those British bankers have long fucking memories.

But will Disney's employees agree? I thought that was what made the top guy actually issue his mild remark.

Disney thinks this will all blow over, and they can go back to bidness as usual.

Ron's running first for reelection, then prez. It's all Culture War all the time, and the Base can't live without fresh red meat. There's going to be more, worse than now, and the whole world's going to scream at their brutality and cruelty.

You won't be able to quietly sit on the side and tend to your own affairs, Mickey. Your employees and customers will be screaming for you to stand up, and, by that time, Ron will be demanding very public loyalty oaths from all the major players in the state.
