By any chance have you heard about this guy named Donald J. Trump. That guy has been a career criminal since at least the 1970s and he is STILL on the loose.

Yeah, but a trenchant observation, nonetheless.

Maybe one can be developed in part of Orange County, California too?

Isn't he tied of getting beat down by the Big D? You can see why everyone but Floriduh GQPers are abandoning him, he actually seems to have fewer brains than Trump. Which is astounding.

Split legislature (GOP Senate, Dem House) doesn't help.

They may be right-wing, but they know which way the cultural winds are blowing, because that's how they've made a jillion bucks a year for a century. And the cultural winds are blowing away from hating LGBTQ+ people. Especially LGBTQ+ children.

The damned creatives came to Seattle to see what do with Seattle Center grounds - wonderful creative people decided we should keep all the cheap crap we had there but, maybe, make it cheaper and crappier - The Imagineers were definitely not the A-Team

Disney is past public relations in this idiotic battle. TinyD wants to culture war his perceived enemies to death with clumsy legislation and frivolous lawsuits. Disney knows they are about a thousand times more vital to FL than Lord Fancy Boots, and they are not about to back down from a fascist conservative who doesn’t respect Disney’s capitalism. I believe this Disney crap will kill his potus dreams in the crib, at least for 2024. Although I think he already knows he can’t defeat the Sultan of Slime, DJT, so his time isn’t here yet. But if you attempt to harm perhaps the largest single employer in your state, and certainly the largest source of revenue, all the bigotry in the world won’t save you. The FL economy is pronounced “Disney,” so this cannot end well for him.

“In essence, Disney is asking a federal court in Tallahassee to wrestle back the hands of time to 1967 while this board is instead charged, legislatively, with bringing the district into the 21st century, with new and better policies and practices."

If one is naive enough to take that as a good faith statement, those are Republicans claiming that government can run a business better than the private sector.

It makes no sense. It was purely a personal retaliation by a petty, insecure man with no self-esteem. Gippers supposedly adore capitalism and the free market, and Disney is perhaps Florida’s most vital capitalist. 35-40 million people visit Disneyworld each year. They spend thousands on hotels, food, parks, transportation, etc. MAGAs like Ron’s GoGo boots, but much of FL is a swamp without Disney. Maybe Ron should suggest Disney relocate to a blue state, and get this self-destruction over with.
