Did Clinton Plant Old Gay Soldier at Debate?
It only took a few minutes after last night's debate wrapped to realize that the old gay soldier with the raspy voice was -- yep, you guessed it -- planted by Hillary Clinton! And now the those angry CNN haters, the ones who so cheekily call CNN the Clinton News Network, just may have a point. Suspicions may have first been raised by the relatively lengthy amount of airtime given to the decorated dick-lover, retired Brigadier Gen. Keith Kerr. But failing to disclose his ties to the Clinton campaign is beyond the fucking pale. Turns out Kerr worked on Clinton's campaign and served on her lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender steering committee. CNN's response? Oops. We didn't know. We fucked up. So what? What are you gonna do about it?
"Following the debate, CNN learned that retired Brigadier Gen. Keith Kerr served on Clinton's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender steering committee,'' CNN said in a statement released today. David Bohman, senior vice president and executive producer of the debate, added: "We regret this incident. CNN would not have used the general's question had we known that he was connected to any presidential candidate."
The Baltimore Sun reported that CNN had verified Kerr's military service and found that he had not contributed money to any of the presidential candidates. Okay, fine. But then Kerr, a member of the Log Cabin Republicans, said he has done no work for the Clinton campaign and was representing no one other than himself. He merely let Clinton use his name on her committee "because she is such a strong advocate'' for gay rights."
That doesn't really count, right?
