January 6th was planned and coordinated. all of those involved in the planning need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. i recommend maximum sentences for those convicted.

Maybe we could follow Justice Alito’s precedent and use the 16th Century versions of “maximum sentences”.

Pfffft. I dunno what he’s so upset about. The Committee won’t enforce a subpoena, and DOJ clearly doesn’t care.

Reminds me of the time we were driving in circles in a field and the sheriff decided to see what was up and found our bong in the backseat and we said WE HAVEN’T USED IT FOR WEEKS and he dumped out the water and a puff of smoke came out…later I saw the bong inside a glass case at the mall in a display of what parents need to watch out for. It was covered in blue suede and had a picture of a laughing Jesus. Good thing we were all like 15 at the time…

Speaking of tapes...https://www.dailydot.com/de...

The Daily Dot has obtained a radio interview from Jan. 6, 2021, from WBHF in Cartersville, Georgia, in which Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) says, “about a dozen” people were present in his congressional office in Washington, D.C. the day before the Capitol riot. Yesterday, Loudermilk said in a statement that “a constituent family” visited him the day before the Capitol riot. That is an updated version of a previous statement by Republicans on the Committee on House Administration—which Loudermilk is a member of—that originally stated “there were no tours, no large groups, no one with MAGA hats on” given by him or other Republicans in advance of the Capitol riot. But in the interview—given as the riot was winding down—Loudermilk made it clear that he met with people who were planning to protest on Jan. 6, and that he discussed how they wanted to be in the crowd that day to protest the results of the 2020 election.

With as many House MAGA critters as there are, I'd be more surprised if some of them weren't in on it.

Just remember that even in the 16th Century, sentences were very different for the rich and the poor. ("Privilege" is derived from "private law.")

That is, of course, unless the rich were Jewish or women or something or other else that the powers that be disapproved and used the law as an excuse to take their money.

The Salem rich trials involved land disputes.

It's all nonsense You have the right to peacefully protest. Once you start breaking laws, that right no longer exists. I don't care who or what you are protesting for or against.

Also a safe bet he doesn't realize there's tapes, possibly because someone was suppose to deal with those and fucked up.

I'm sure he meant their large, extended family.

The Jan. 6 committee will release the videos the week of June 9, and loudermilk will hang himself in shame. The world will cheer, and his famiy will breath a sigh of relief that he’s gone.
