I’ve been awake for three hours. My alarm just went off now and I’m getting dressed.
I put eye drops in Alice’s eyes, as I’m going to have to do every day twice a day for the rest of her life and it makes her angry and sad. I completed the quizzes on two out of the eight modules for a class I need to finish for recertification. I didn’t complete the readings, just enough to answer the questions I was responsible for.
Goals for the week: complete a complicated tax submission and payment; finalize divorce so I can complete retirement paperwork; get at least a couple more modules knocked out on this class; make arrangements for firewood delivery.
I feel almost certain there’s more, but I can’t remember it at the moment.
Also, Work. I need to go to work. I just noticed I have my ankles wrapped around each other, my calves tightened up, my shoulders hunched over as if i were going to be sick. Trying to breathe and that’s making it worse. OK. Shaking it off. Time to feed the cats.
Not going to get into the other things that sounds like --- but the fact that they went as Mean Girl far as "uggos" tells me somebody is mad about Iman and Veronica Webb and Alek Wek and ...
Also - that pink dress? Goes all the way up to her zorch when she sits down; I guarantee it
I'm sorrynotsorry but the dude at work who is always stealing supplies from me and my team can figure out his own damn self how the new microwave works. It's a little different from the old one, but not that difficult to figure out. I'm not getting up from my yogurt to stand and nuke his food for him!
I wonder if anyone in the Trump administration considers why we have a trade imbalance with the US. The US has ~330 million purchasers for Thai goods. Thailand's population is ~71 million. Most of Thailand's people cannot afford American goods outside of the cities, so that number is even less. Considering the tariffs on Vietnam and Cambodia, Trump has given South East Asia to China.
I hope Orr v. Trump is decided soon in the plaintiffs' favor so my partner and I can get passports. I think it's become clear that, as much as "stay and fight" sounds noble, unless a hell of a lot more of y'all cis folks come to our aid we're going to have to self-deport for a while. Maybe that visa program Scotland proposed will come through for us. That would be nice.
I feel like everyone needs to do what they can and we need to respect that. I'm a white cis lady, with a whole lot of the privileges that go along with a level of money and contacts and all the rest--I know I'm not the first person they would come after. I don't have children to worry about. It's easy for me to stay and fight.
