Yes, I realize Thomas is a Catholic and was a friend of Leo's prior to his nomination, but I doubt today he'd be at the top of Leo's list.
Generally, I don't give much thought as to the religion of judges, but find it interesting that Leo, to whom Republicans have handed over the picking of judges for a generation now, doesn't just champion conservative jurists, but almost exclusively conservative Catholic jurists.
