Thanks, TK. This all happened 15 years ago, so it’s an old familiar ache.

I used to live in a district where as long as you have an (R) after your name and manage to avoid both dead girls and live boys, you'll win even if you skip all the debates and/or often embarrass the state by being totally batshit on your radio program. This is despite the (D)s routinely running likeable candidates with genuine vision.

Manchin surely wouldn't. Sinema is more of a wild card - I could see her declaring herself an independent once it's clear she wouldn't survive a Dem primary, but I doubt she'd go all the way to the Sith GOP.

Manchin is playing some sort of long game. I don't know what it is, and its probably stupid and pointless, but i think there is a strategy there.

Oops. This was supposed to go in the Gin Farts post.

Manchin won't move because he's still a Democrat, though he is from when the party was much further right to the extent that it was GOP-Lite.Sinema won't move because she gives every impression of enjoying being "special" and everyone paying attention to her.

Short answer? Yes. I don't think it's gonna happen, however. They're getting too much attention as the Senatorial scabs.

With friends like those two, who needs enemas?

Strangely enough, it doesn't look at all out of place.

I remember when Joe whimpered he was gonna switch sides and I really wished someone asked him "Please tell us what problem that would solve".

You're more generous than me. I think he's completely impulsive.

Impulsive, stupid, and pointless strategery.

No you don't. He didn't say that.
