A) That's happening now under the auspices of a badge, but B) you keep saying this as if the corresponding improvement in social cohesion with the improved civic services wouldn't go a long way to prevent these from occurring in the first place. Imagine if New York wasn't as segregated as it is now.
Also, I get that you have to imagine socialism is the exclusive province of white people in order to maintain your paternalistic liberalism, but the activist vanguard is... not exactly pale. That's not to say there aren't the occasional performative obnoxious white attention hog from academia (I have one in my family), but certainly up here in Canada, DtP is supported by both indigenous and Black activists primarily. Indigenous in particular, because they know who it is enforcing the settler claims: the RCMP.
I just want to point out that the DOJ dropped this bombshell on us with absolutely no warning. There were no leaks to clue us in that this was coming. They are as tight as a drum and we are not going to hear anything from them until they are ready to release it. Merrick has obviously been doing some things!
In the press conference announcing the indictments, led by the legal team representing Breonna's family, the point was explicitly made that elections have consequences, and voting matters. If Barr was still heading the DOJ, none of this would have happened. Over and over, anyone seeking truth and justice in Breonna's case was treated as if their concerns were crazy. Finally, those concerns were taken seriously.
Garland's DOJ opened a 'patterns and practices' investigation into the LMPD. The FBI dug up all the evidence LMPD, and the corrupt AG Daniel Cameron, and the police union worked so hard to bury. Jurors actually had to speak out (and lawyer up) after Cameron falsely claimed the grand jury exonerated the LMPD.
One of the lawyers stated that he hoped the FBI would continue to investigate LMPD to expose the widespread corruption of plainclothes cops, similar to the criminality of Baltimore cops in the docudrama "We Own This City". Another charming tidbit involves one of the indicted cops, who was placed on desk duty for throwing slushies and drinks at a group of homeless Black people.
The best thing the Democrat Congress can do after winning more seats in the House and Senate is, ban "qualified immunity" for all law enforcement officers and make it a civil rights violation for failure to activate body cams during encounters with the public...
"In days to come, expect Republicans to explain that if cops who kill people in trumped up raids are held accountable, the nation's police will lose their school spirit and will have no choice but to stop protecting us at all, so we'd better accept occasional shootings of sleeping Black people for the good of everyone's safety, the end." Really???!!! (sarcasm)

Oh good god you have no interest in anything non-white people have to say. You are the reason black people feel white progressives are terrible allies.
Just your occasional reminder that Police Scotland have shot and killed one person this century, out of a population of c 6 million.
Not according to Meriam Webster it doesn’t.

Some don't even carry guns.
Republicans: You gotta let cops be cops or bad guys will win.Me (forever): Uvalde.
Yeah, but has anyone in Scotland every received any mysterious packages? Have they?
Breonna Taylor was killed for being in the same bed with a drug dealer
Police, and police unions in particular, are nothing but a taxpayer-funded protection racket.

We still clearly meet that definiton too.

The cops were shooting at the good guy with a gun.
I meant it in the sense of a functioning democracy.
