I was thinking the same thing. In fact, didn't an earlier review by a career staffer with experience in pre-publication review finish a review and submitted their report, including any needed revisions? Then Trump reversed that and gave it to a political appointee to clog up the sewer. If I recall, I read that in Wonkette.
If Bolton had responded to a request from the House impeachment panel to appear, especially in a closed hearing, would that have possibly shielded him from being sued by the government for violating a NDA? And possibly have cleared the way to do most of his book later since a lot of it would have come out already by leaks or public testimony in Congress. Bolton hasn't really revealed much that we didn't already know. He just added more confirmation of corruption and incompetence by Trump, and added some specific examples.
There's a part of this that's so charming and nostalgia-inducing for me, "pulping the book". I know, I know it's a turn of phrase, and even as a former bookseller I winced when "stripping" books before sending them off to be pulped. Please nobody tell the gubmint that e-books are a thing that cannot be pulped (scrambled, maybe, deleted? removed from the cloud?). This administration is so dim they may not notice. This is not a pro-Bolton statement btw, bc fuck him and his walrus-libelz mustache)

it's a day, it's day, right, wait, shit goddamn it time dilation.
Must be Thursday then. Or maybe Tuesday or any other day that ends in "y".

Unfortunately, neither of them are keeping God company, yet.:-)

I doubt they ever will.
The mayor really should have changed that stretch of Pennsylvania Ave. to Black Lives Matter Ave.
And pasteurized process cheese food.
DJT: "So, we're at the mercy of Venezuela? Cool. What shall we do?"

Funny thing is, Carly is an heir to the Simon and schuster fortune

St. John Bolton, patron of ... ummm. Facial hair and threats of armageddon?
Although I suppose, given the revelations contained in his book, he might be patron saint of the apocalypse delayed but nonetheless revealed.
