For the Trump administration, “Justice” is a cudgel. Courts that rule against them are forces to be overcome. In this matter, they were denied warrants by a magistrate judge, then a district court judge, then a three judge panel on an appeals court, so they went on to a grand jury and secured an indictment. Ironic that a Justice Department that uses policy, not law, to shield a president from prosecution, so zealously follows the questionable will of that president to prosecute others all the way to the Supreme Court.
At what point does a journalist cross the line? Lemon engaged with protesters prior to their entry into the church, providing encouragement to their cause and those interactions certainly show him aligning with their positions,… as if you didn’t already know which side he’s on.
Then there’s his mere presence with microphone and camera. For a group of activists who already think they’re doing just work, the opportunity to make a splash in front of a well known media figure would be impossible to pass up, and this media personality was a friendly.
The question to ask is, did he provide “aid and comfort” to those breaking the law? The answer should be an overwhelming “yes”. Is that enough of a step over the line? Certainly worth considering.

But bigger issue is, you know damn well, if the church was protecting immigrants and the SS stormed in and dragged them out, mad king and company would be hailing it.
