The nation's humiliation continued apace Friday as our knownothing POTUS met with Chancellor Angela Merkel, the German Queen of Competence. Sadly, seating Mrs. Merkel next to the tacky shoe designer at the Business Leaders' Round Table was the LEAST embarrassing gaffe of the day.
If the German educational system is anything like the one in Belgium, where my first boyfriend lived and started learning English in kindergarten, her English is probably better than Trump's.
You know what I think? I think that Merkel/Trump-no-handshake photo op was just after a one-on-one meeting between the two. It wouldn't have taken much effort for Angela to let him know what a stupid asshole he is. And THAT was his reaction.
i was living in berlin when the bombing of serbia happened. berliners were not too happy about participating in that. and while bombing was an extreme tactic which catered to the desires of terrorists, that was a lot more morally defensible than the shitshows of afghanistan and iraq - especially after the IC didn't react swiftly enough in bosnia.
