Trump made this face when Bill O'Reilly called Vladimir Putin a "killer."
The love affair between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin is proceeding nicely! Before the Super Bowl, President Bannon allowed his lil' puppet Donald Trump to sit for an interview with Bill O'Reilly, probably so they could talk about how they both really like to grab 'em by the pussy, we dunno, we didn't watch it. But a clip is making the rounds, because Trump yet again was unwilling to condemn Putin for occasionally having journalists and political opponents killed. (There's a Russian activist in the hospital right now, because he was likely poisoned by the Russian government! It's not the first time this guy's been poisoned either!)
Don't journalists or idiots like Bill O'Reilly know at this point that Putin is the one person Trump won't be mean to?
"But he's a killer," O'Reilly said to Trump.
"There are a lot of killers. You think our country's so innocent?" Trump replied.
Everybody's doing it! No reason for America to try to keep some kind of moral high ground or anything, when other leaders get to have fun killing people. What in the HELL does Putin have on Trump, and does it involve the finest Russian pee hookers? Or is it worse than that?
Mike Pence was on the TV this weekend, and CBS's John Dickerson asked him THREE TIMES to say America is morally superior to Russia. (It is.) And THREE TIMES Mike Pence was unable to even halfway answer "yes" to the question. Why do Trump and Pence hate America and love Russia? This is an honest question we have.
As CNN points out, Trump made this exact same argument on "Morning Joe" in December, saying "our country does plenty of killing also," and this is technically true, and we can have a long academic discussion sometime about all the times America has behaved badly. But, you know, the best among us at least try to live up to the whole "land of the free, home of the brave" shit, even when America isn't getting an A+ in that regard.
Of course, Trump has been shitting on America and licking Russia's balls for much longer than that, as we all know. Remember back in September when Trump, in an interview with the Russian state-owned RT network, criticized American foreign policy and the press? That was a fine moment.
In response to Trump's comments to Bill O'Reilly, Vladimir Putin's spokes-douche had the audacity to tell CNN that O'Reilly and Fox News should say they're sorry for calling Putin a "killer," but didn't have any comment on Trump's remarks, because WHAT THE HELL DOES PUTIN HAVE ON TRUMP?
In light of these comments from Trump, even craven soulless Republican senators like Mitch McConnell are correcting the record:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called Putin a “thug.”
“Putin's a former KGB agent. He’s a thug," McConnell said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “He was not elected in a way that most people would consider a credible election.”
Similarly on ABC’s “This Week,” frequent Trump critic Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., drew a distinction between Russia and the United States.
“There is no moral equivalency between the United States of America, the greatest freedom loving country in the history of the world, and the murderous thugs who are in defense of Putin’s cronyism,” Sasse said.
AND Marco Rubio AND Rob Portman had things to say, also too, on Twitter. Here's Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff, speaking to CNN:
"This is as inexplicably bizarre as it is untrue. Does he not see the damage he does with comments like that, and the gift he gives to Russian propaganda?"
It's a brave new world, isn't it? The American president is either in love with the autocratic thug who runs Russia, or he's being blackmailed into undermining the US and shilling for Putin.
Hey, doesn't the FBI have some big investigation going on, about Trump's ties to Russia? Aren't members of Congress like Rep. Maxine Waters and Sen. Ron Wyden out there blowing their horns, suggesting that what the FBI knows about those ties is YOOGE AND BAD? We sure would like to find out what they've learned right about now, wouldn't you?
WHAT IN THE HELL DOES PUTIN HAVE ON TRUMP?
Donald Trump Doesn't Like It When You Call His Boyfriend Putin A 'Killer'
Yup. This is not normal and it calls for uncommon alliances. I honestly don't mind being on the same side with sane Republicans on some issues. This is one of them.
He called Social Security "middle class golf playing entitlement."
