Not just Florida - a lot of the recent Puerto Rican diaspora ended up in Pennsylvania for some reason.

The governor of Puerto Rico is a Republican. Granted, it's probably a relic of being a colony, but the politics of PR are more complex than a lot of people imagine.

I know personally how Maria effected the pharma industry in Puerto Rico as I was unable to get a medication I must take daily for 2 months after Maria. I was told by the pharmacist that it is manufactured in facilities destroyed by Maria in PR and the only option was to find pharmacies that had surplus medications stored and could share.

I also remember the despair of the Puerto Ricans who came here to Florida as everything they had was gone. I don't believe they are fooled by Trump's last minute faux generousity. They can't vote but their naturalized friends and family members can and will.

Yes, this is something that is quite an issue. Too tired to look this up right now, but the Spanish invented about 40 different names for various 'combinations' of ethnicies in the lands they conquered in the Americas. Mestizo is just one of the few that are used now.

I sign a lot of petitions, but they never get my real phone number. Often you can get away with the very fake 555-555-5555. If they recognise that 555 is a not existant area code, then I use 888 (a toll-free code). If they spot that then I just use 808 (Hawai'i)* and a number that's almost like 555-5555, and it always goes through.

*nothing against them - it's just one digit away from 888
