He's just the messenger
Donald Trump rallies, which started out as racist xenophobic hatefests of violent stupid, sure have escalated! Into racist xenophobic hatefests of violent stupid, but with the added fun of Hitlerian loyalty salutes and charming authentic frontier gibberish by his supporters, like this dumbass dumb motherfucker who told a protester , "Go to Auschwitz. Go to fucking Auschwitz."
The important thing, though, is that Trump is definitely not to blame for any of it. He is but a messenger, you see, and everyone knows you can't shoot the messenger. Well, unless you are Trump, in which case, you could shoot the messenger, right in the middle of 5th Avenue , and his supporters would have no problem with it. But when Trump is the messenger, that's different, as Trump explained to Chuck Todd on "Meet the Press":
TODD: A lot of people say you're reaping what you sow here, that the reason there's so much tension at your rallies is you've used such divisive rhetoric. Do you have any regrets?
TRUMP: The reason there's tension at my rallies is that these people are sick and tired of this country being run by incompetent people that don't know what they're doing on trade deals, where our jobs are being ripped out of our country, Chuck. They're being ripped out. On ISIS, where we can't even beat ISIS with our military. Our military's not being taken care of, we can't even beat ISIS.
On our vets, who are being treated horribly. Frankly, they're being treated worse than illegal immigrants. The people are angry at that. They're not angry about something I'm saying. I'm just a messenger.
So the reason that black protesters, or Breitbart "journalists," or TIME magazine photographers, or a random homeless Hispanic man are getting assaulted by Trump supporters -- or Trump security, or Trump campaign staff -- has nothing whatever to do with Trump's messages: that we need to deport Mexicans, because they're a bunch of rapists and murderers; that we need to ban all Muslims, including American citizens; that we need to "bomb the shit out" of terrorists and kill their families; that when a protester interrupts one of his rallies, it makes him so GRRRRR MAD ANGER BEAR that he literally verbatim quote unquote says , "I'd like to punch him in the face." Oh, and that he has also promised to pay the legal fees for anyone busted for assaulting protesters:
“If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you?” Trump said, drawing cheers and laughter. “Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell — I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise. They won’t be so much, because the courts agree with us too — what’s going on in this country.”
Yeah, it's a real mystery how anyone could misinterpret that message to mean Trump is calling for violence, huh?
Blame the George Soros-funded leftist radicals employing Saul Alinsky tactics to disrupt Trump's rallies. They have it coming. Blame the idiots in charge of running America, who make Trump supporters so mad, they just gotta punch and kick and shove whoever's within reach. But it's not like Trump's saying anything wrong:
Well, I haven't said anything that-- I'm just expressing my opinion. What have I said that's wrong? I mean, I talk about illegal immigration, I talk about building a wall, I say Mexico's going to pay for the wall, which they will. And all of these things. I mean, what have I said that's wrong? You tell me. The fact is, they're really upset with the way our country is being run. It's a disgrace.
And it's also his opinion that some people are just begging for violence to be done to their faces. What's wrong with saying that?
Poor Donald Trump. Really, he's just misunderstood. And you know whose fault that is? The terrible liberal media -- like those libtards at Breitbart and Fox News -- who refuse to tell the truth about him. Not to worry, though, he's got a plan to address that too. Once he's president, he's going to rewrite the libel laws , so the media can no longer say mean things about him. And then neither he nor his staff will even have to resort to violence. Or deliver the harmless message to his faithful fans that the media is the enemy, so hint hint wink and nudge, you know what Trump thinks we should do to our enemies, don't you? Of course you do.
