Conservatives have long waited about the need to reduce "waste and fraud" in government spending, but they have never been able to point to any. That's because the government works hard to eliminate waste and fraud. Sadly, it costs more to run means-testing on welfare than it does to just give the people money. Work-requirements drive more people out of welfare than helps. And drug-testing likewise drives people away from welfare. We could save a let, get lots pf people out of poverty just by dropping all the phoney-baloney means, drugs, and work requirements.

“ and we got a lot of ideas on how to do that” A “concept of a plan” they’ve been not devising for over twenty years.

So their plan for a better America is massive poverty, extreme hardship, huge tax hikes and inflation, a destroyed economy, no healthcare and no safety net unless you’re a billionaire.

As Republican plans go I’d call this one slightly below average.

“We have to reduce spending to live within our means. And that necessarily involves some temporary hardship, but it will ensure long-term prosperity.”

Weird that most of our debt was caused by GWB's tax cuts, recession, and wars, along with Dump's tax cuts and the pandemic. Only one of those things was unavoidable, so we COULD have not cut taxes, and we'd only be about a trillion dollars in debt, instead of $34 trillion in debt.

If truthful historians exist in a century or so some of them will write cuationary pieces along the lines of "How did those people not know how good they had it before handing their country over to con-men, gangsters, and authoritarian religious nutjobs?"

The Federal Government is the single largest consumer of EVERYTHING! Drastic cuts in government spending would send shockwaves across not only the US economy but the global economy as well. the result could be truly disastrous Putting idiots like Trump, Muskrat, and RFK Jr in charge would be like giving a trio of 9 year olds the keys to a D11 CAT and telling them to drive downtown and have fun!

Musk is facing dozens of lawsuits from state and federal government, and consumer victims, ranging from self-crashing cars, illicit drug use, stock transaction violations, racism at his factories, and more. He desperately needs Trump to win and bail him out. That's why he's as angry and desperate as Trump himself.
