By Dawg I donβt want anyone (including me) to suffer as Assmouth tanks the economy. And for sure GIINA is not a nice country. But if China grows and prospers by making alternate trade deals around the world, while we slide further into third-world-shithole status, Iβll feel a certain sick satisfaction that his voters are now Finding Out.
Trump says "maybe kids can have 2 dolls instead of 30".
When I heard this statement, combined with all of his other regressive policy moves, I realized that he may accidentally and unintentionally help reduce climate change by zeroing out almost overnight shipping and manufacturing emissions, not to mention plastic use/waste.
It's an overall win for the planet, even if it will crater the US economy which is driven almost entirely by a model of buy shit > throw shit away > buy more shit.
If in the long run it changes people's buying habits and expectations and we end up with some sort of less wasteful economy, that's an accidental win.
As long as people don't starve to death from skyrocketing food prices, and loss of income first.....
Agreed. The second- and third-order effects may be to the good, such as making people realize that social services are not creeping CommoSocialMarxism. But weβve got to weather the first-order effects first.
Ta, Dok. Well, it's obvious, innit? We fixed the hole in the ozone layer by taking the damnable and damned CFCs out of aerosol cans. That Thing in the Offal Office has been unsatisfied with his coif ever since, and it's time for revenge. Or vengeance. Vindictiveness. Vapidity. Verily.
I imagine the Federal Government βownsβ the research so do as Sir does β Break the Law and tell the courts to stuff it. I mean, once itβs out itβs out.!
I remember my very own conspiracy theory regarding fixing the hole in the ozone layer. The hole had been expanding for years, with no action, and then it reached into Maine, and Bingo! Prompt and effective action reduced and repaired the ozone layer. We was saved!
So what's the conspiracy theory? Maine is where the Bush compound is, and GHW Bush took action only because ozone depletion threatened his precious little bunker. Conspiracy!!!
Anyway, I'm glad his administration took action, with or without freaking out over Kennebunk, ME.
Anything that's inconvenient needs to be either brought in line or destroyed, part eleventy-eleventy.
We'll be seeing *so many* Sharpie-dicks...

Vacuity.
I seem to remember that until very recently, climate change was the worst threat to national security. Not important anymore I guess.
Speaking of Trump fucking over Big Oil, April is poised to the the worst monthly drop in price in years. Thanks Trump!
"βreduce the scope of legally proper options in presidential decision-making and in agency rulemakings and adjudications.β
In other words:
"If you peons know the facts, it'll make us look bad when we lie right to your fucking faces to benefit the folks who are lining our pockets"
Wait, didn't he repeal the law of unintended consequences?
Don't worry ... rising seas will lift all yachts.
Republicans ridicule this one weird fact:
"The economy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the environment."
Fact Finding or Fact Firing?
Let's Free Speech all over this asshole and PUBLISH!!!
EXACTLY what I was thinking. They can even do a GoFundMe for the office supplies. I'd kick in.

Yet another front in the ever-popular War on Sense

Kennebunkport.
Whelp, guess we'll all just die.
Can Trump lead us, just this once?
He is defying the courts, defying the congress, when does the constitutional crisis begin again?
The day he becomes presidential?
