In today's episode of Shit Poppy Says, Donald Trump has #Thoughts on homeless people. Apparently, the city of San Francisco is in BIG TROUBLE, MISTER for allowing its homeless population to throw used needles into the storm drains willy nilly. So Donald Trump's EPA, which cares so very deeply about the health of our planet, will be issuing a violation toot sweet for the city's flagrant violation of A LAW. What law he thinks San Francisco is violating, the Derp Leader didn't say. But it's a big one, that's for sure!
Please, White House Pooler, tell the good people that Your Wonkette hasn't gone entirely off the deep end and made up this crazy shit that Trump barfed out last night on Airforce One.
TRUMP: We'll start with those two cities. We're looking at San Francisco and we're looking at Los Angeles, and we're looking at all of the things that are happening. You know, there's tremendous pollution being put into the ocean because they're going through what's called the storm sewer that's for rainwater. And we have tremendous things that we don't have to discuss pouring into the ocean. You know there are needles, there are other things.
It's a terrible situation – that's in Los Angeles and in San Francisco. And we're going to be giving San Francisco, they're in total violation, we're going to be giving them a notice very soon.
REPORTER: What kind of notice?
TRUMP: You're going to see over the next, I would say, less than a week. EPA is going to be putting out a notice. They're in serious violation. And this is environmental… and they have to clean it up. We can't have our cities going to hell. These are great cities. And we can't lose our great cities like this.
Jiminy freakin' Christmas.
Asked about the "notice very soon" for San Francisco's "serious violation," EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler told the San Francisco Chronicle , "I can't comment on potential enforcement actions." Which is ballsy from a guy who just gutted the Waters of the United States rule that forced polluters to get a permit to dump their waste into America's streams and rivers. The former coal lobbyist has had quite a lot to say about the undue burden placed on those poor companies who can't just poison the nation's drinking water at will. Weird how he clammed up here, huh?
What makes this even more ridiculous is that San Francisco, unlike its neighbors, actually treats all the water that flows through its storm drains. As Mayor London Breed told the Chronicle, "[A]ll debris that flow into storm drains are filtered out at the city's wastewater treatment plants. [...] No debris flow out into the bay or the ocean."
But Donald Trump cares even less about facts than he does about pollution. Fox News has been feeding him a steady diet of vitriol about homeless people and cities, and they've finally worked him into such a frenzy that he's proposing to round them up and put them in camps where the good taxpayers of this country don't have to see them. Literally.
Last week the president complained about homeless people sleeping in "our best highways, our best streets, our best entrances to buildings," which is not allowed where rich people live, dammit! "People in those buildings pay tremendous taxes where they went to those locations because of the prestige," he continued. Which must have been a great comfort to the forgotten every man who put this lunatic in office.
He wouldn't mind if they would just go to a poor neighborhood, of course, but when rich people from other countries come here, they shouldn't have to look at the reality of how this nation treats vulnerable, poor people. "In many cases they came from other countries and they moved to Los Angeles or they moved to San Francisco because of the prestige of the city, and all of a sudden they have tents. Hundreds and hundreds of tents and people living at the entrance to their office building. And they want to leave."
Ain't he a peach. Let's end with a response from Scott Weiner, a California state senator representing San Francisco, who told the New York Times, "Donald Trump is a slumlord who has spent his presidency pushing people into homelessness by taking away health care, food assistance and affordable housing funds. He has no credibility on housing and homelessness."
AMEN.

Donald Trump To LOCK HER UP San Francisco For Homeless Pollution
He'll conveniently place the camps in red states. Run up their representation, hurt the cities.
Rather unusual for someone who supposedly has had a career in real estate.
