Fantastic strategy from the GOP/Trump, as always.

Yeah, my very Fox News father in law made a joke about, "Well now they're saying we can just wear TWO masks and THAT will change everything!" and waited for me to join him in a good chuckle. He's pretty susceptible to the awkward silence plus dead-face eye contact combo and this time was no exception.

I think this is one of those classic cases where the thought is much more important than the gift. Also - chances are his spouse had a hand in picking those presents in the early days, and the tradition just continued.

My family (most in-laws) gave me some very nice ties back in the day when I wore them to work in a real office (dinosaurs ruled the earth). Some fun ones, too - Buggs Bunny, et. al.

Got my first Pfizer vax today. I was surprised at how few people were there, maybe a dozen? Maybe they need to be moving to the next tier of eligible recipients? They told me that there were more people earlier in the day, but I'm not sure if this means people are opting out, or if they've already gotten most people in my area who are currently eligible. So while I'm grateful not to be met with long lines and turn-aways as other places have reported, I'm a little worried.

Pants are also ineffective if you wear them over your head

Now you tell me?

You're right and serious hand-washing should be routine from now on.

My only problem with masks at the moment is that, especially on a humid day (which is 9 out of 10 days in Floriduh) my glasses fog up and it makes driving dangerous, so I have to drop the mask, with many regrets.

But I will put up with the limited visibility when I am on foot.

I have several cloths and sprays that deal with the fogging...AND THEY WORK!

Oh, hi li'l Tater! Does Tater have winter fashions? If I knew how to knit I'd make him a sweater.

The article about the New York neighborhood made me think of a comment, can't remember who said it, that living in New York was so difficult that every day felt like an achievement. I guess the folks in the 5th Avenue penthouses don't find it difficult, but it's not easy in general.

I like to think SER and his wife match their masks.

That's one of the parts of mask culture in Japan (there are many parts). Women will wear them so they don't have to smile at men. So much approve.

(of course the mask culture had many facets and this is probably the same in other nations, I just specifically know about Japan)
