The farts are worth it. You have been told by popular media to hate brussels sprouts. You have been lied to. Come to the glorious, cabbage-y light. "BUT I DON'T LIKE BRUSSELS SPROUTS! THEY TASTE LIKE FARTS AND SADNESS!" No, friend, no. Trust in the Wonkette, for it will guide you to delicious brassicas. Welcome to a dish that is healthful and delicious, and we promise only one of those adjectives is a complete lie (it's the first one). It's going to serve 2-3, depending on how hungry you are. Or one person, if you're attempting to create a thermonuclear detonation with your butthole.
I'm going to make this, without the brussels sprouts or walnuts or bleu cheese or balsamic vinegar,or garlic.. and I will substitute the honey, brown sugar and lemon with bacon.
I'd parboil those sprouts first in salted water. Actually brussel sprouts cooked that way (unless overcooked) are truly delicious. Steaming isn't as good, the salt (it doesn't take much) makes them taste very nice.
I'm going to make this...looks scrumptious!
Screw that. Blue cheese tastes like my grandmother's basement triple-distilled
Spoot poots. I think I love you.
Sprouts don't make me poot. PINKHAM'S LAW BITCHES
I feel like chopped bacon is too small to qualify as a full pork honk. More like a prk hnk

Ohhhh I assure you, you're not! Welcome to Wonkette... you're home at last!!!!
I can say with 100% certainty that this is not from sauteeing them, because they don't smell when you do.
Hmmmm perhaps this is how I will cook the brussels sprouts in my garden that will make it very nicely out there til Xmas, thank you, El Nino!
Beets, here, ugh. On the other hand, I love sprouts and yogurt. Not together, though.
Or, as my son with a similar hatred used to say, he liked tomatoes when they were all melted.

Yes I think the same thing. Except I'd go 5-8 minutes. They won't be cooked all the way.
Whereas Vitter always kindly blanches his depends. After he gets some strange, that is.
Yes this drown the taste of the sprouts. They really, really taste good parboiled first in heavily salted water.
I like them boiled much much more than sauteed or broiled or grilled. I don't get it.
