Having lived in ND for a few years, I'd say street addresses are pretty much useless for everyone save for those living in the truly cosmopolitan* places like Grand Forks, Fargo, and Bismarck. As for the reservations, I'm not sure how useful even a PO Box would be given the 2 hr roundtrip drive you would probably need to take just to get to the post office and back. I guess it's better than nothing and more than adequate to establish residency.

Come on ND. I thought you were the smart red state. Stop with this foolish nonsense. Put down the red-eye and the fleischkuekle and get your shit together.

I genuinely love Warren. She may not succeed, but literally no one can say she doesn't care.

With respect - and I do mean that, I'm not being an ass - I don't know if you've been watching her. She is out for blood. As she should be.

Laugh, I presume. Why is everyone so concerned about infantile nicknames?

I've seen tweets from POC who will not vote for Warren because she "tried to appropriate Native culture."

Hell, every white North Carolinian whose family goes back to pre-Civil War days (and more than a few black folks as well) has a gen-u-wine Cherokee Princess in their ancestry. It's always a Cherokee, never a Creek or a Choctaw, and it's always a female Indian ancestor.

Usually when people think they have some Native ancestry, it is because they actually do. It is more common than people seem to think it is. I wish it weren't considered something to mock.

“The three Republicans who even read the proposal will complain Warren is merely promising Free Stuff to buy votes, which is only allowed when you're talking about oil and coal companies.“ https://media1.giphy.com/me...

It was explained to me as being an outgrowth of native warrior culture. I think it also has to do with limited opportunities otherwise on a lot of tribal nations.

There is, according to family lore, some Canadian Blackfoot in my makeup, along with Northern (Denmark) and Eastern (Bohemia) European. More than that, I don't really know. Maybe Hungarian, too? We're supposedly related to the Hapsburgs by marriage. That's all on my mother's side. My father was adopted. Complete blank there.I'm a Heinz 57 American, and damn proud of it!
