The robo-van looks like a hair metal album-cover from the mid-eighties come to live.

Actually FElon's plan for Optimus is very calculated, the demo was for the actual product. He plans to sell them as "AI" robots but they will be just like the demo - controlled by banks of Indian children feeding the telepresence actions through Starlink.

As far as FElon is concerned that makes it a win-win, for him at least.

How the fuck has Tesla stock not cratered.

It's on its way. Investors are now wise to the FElon shuck and jive, and the stock dropped 9% on the next trading day.

Musky Boy talks about there are no controls in the robo taxi and shows the road view above the screen and says it will be great. The first thing that came to my mind was I look past the screen and see the taxi is about to slam into something or someone and I can't do anything but hang on? I don't think that would be "great". I notice the robo van has screens at both ends but only windows by the doors. That solves the problem of knowing you're going to die before it happens like the taxi. Thanks Musky Boy!

What’s the concern? It’s not like Tesla has a history of rushing products out before they’re ready for the market. The cyber truck has been a huge success, right?

Thinking about Chobits. Personal computers that looked like girls (or boys.) Like all computers, though, they were made with planned obsolescence in mind, and eventually they would degrade. Everyone knew they were basically robot sex dolls. But the most advanced of them was made as a replacement daughter.

One dude married his Chobit (read: Marilyn Monroebot) only to have her neural circuits degrade and she "died" less than ten years later. DON'T DATE ROBOTS!

Anyway, these robots are ugly.

Sorry, but in terms of most marriages, isn't this actually ideal?

He was heartbroken though. The episode about it presented it as a real tragedy. He fell in love with a robot, but she was doomed to die. (I forgot that the robot actually sacrificed herself to save him from an oncoming truck as her final coherent act.)

He did actually have another relationship with another human later on.

Well, I think it's just great that Elon fixed the problem of terrible traffic by boring tunnels under every major US city.

Two lane tunnels, to replace the 6 lane roads overhead.

Brilliant move, sir.

Every time I hear elno speak I remember he's profoundly stupid. He's only barely smart enough to let people smarter than he is do the heavy lifting.
