Given that Musk has done nothing but give more of a voice to Russian and Fascist propagandists, it seems he spent a shit load of money to trash the place. And the content creators are fleeing in droves.
Why sell to Elon? Did he really consider him the best option? Or did he just see Elon as an easy target to get his way? It feels like he wanted revenge on the VC and board for trying to force him out.
He didn’t, the board and/or the shareholders sold it. They were pretty much obligated to. And I only say “pretty much” because I don’t know all the laws. I think they had to. The offer was so huge they’d be sued by the shareholders if they didn’t accept. Corporations solely exist to make money for the shareholders, iirc. Well, that and evading personal liability for bad things.
Yes, I know it wasn't his decision specifically. But he was involved in encouraging Elon to buy it. And he made very public statements that he wanted Elon to buy it.
I’d rather throw all my digitalDevices into a volcano than give Elon 1/10 of 1 cent from my participation on that shitty assed platform
Meh it’s only Texas, one of America’s shithole states. The land of no regulations. That’s the Magic Dust of Freedom that fell all over the city.

When I look at tweeter. It looks the same as ever. And it’s still free to use. No thanks to Elmo
And yet he's convinced he's a super genius
He didn't even make the cars, he just bought into the company that WAS, and then forced out the actual engineers.

yeah, I don't think it'd be a good idea to piss off Steven King too much...
Even rutabagas.

It's like watching the Hindenburg hit the Titanic.
Was Caligula's horse busy?
I was saying "Boo-urns".
