The New York Times ran a fascinatingly depressing interview with Edgar Maddison Welch, who prefers to go by his middle name, conducted in jail in Washington DC where he's being held on charges related to his armed "self-investigation" of the fake-news stories that Hillary Clinton and John Podesta were running a child sex trafficking ring out of Comet Ping Pong, a northwest DC pizzeria.

You may have heard that Time Warner Cable, which has been the bane of my existence on the net, is now Spectrum. My new internet bill is a little over half of the old one. I didn't upgrade because the speeds advertised have nothing to do with reality -- I know, the AG's office emailed a link to test actual speed, and my alleged 100 mbps turned out to be 23. I took the 50 mbps plan. Time Warner Cable should refund 3/4 of what I've paid them over the years. JMO.
He may have done what I did during the six weeks or so I was without internet. I took my laptop to the library (and to cafes with free internet on nights & weekends), and used their wifi. I had no choice; I couldn't afford my bill. My bill is much lower and more appropriate now that Time Warner is Spectrum, but there are ways of connecting without internet at home.
Younger sister is nowhere close to far left; she's also been infected with a strain of libertarianism from the love of her life (who died about 18 years ago), who was a right-to-work roofer. She's also far from stupid. However, she lives SURROUNDED by stupid and by Christianity (in which she's somewhat involved; she still loves the Jews for Jesus). She believes Hillary Clinton is a murderer, and that's why she didn't vote. I blame her for Pennsylvania. When I asked who (apart from Vince Foster) Hillary had murdered, she mentioned a 23 year old DNC staffer who had a very mundane car accident. I didn't ask how many of her car accidents (she's been in 5 or so, 2 of them very serious) she blamed Hillary for, but I should have.
Our municipal water supply should NOT be fluoridated. It's a dump for toxic waste. Actual dental care is much more effective and safe, but that would require Americans to have comprehensive health care.
