We have to at least get back to the day when factory owners kept worker uniforms in their offices, so if the revolution came they could sneak out ahead of the guillotines.

Perhaps OMIR is suggesting that the UK needs to drive corporate tax low to compete with Ireland? Which... honestly doesn't make much sense since the UK's economy is 20 times bigger.

Now you can see why the Communist Party USA in the 1930 flew flags of Lincoln next to Lenin.

The problem is that the poor folk - many of whom are Trump lovers - don't get that the real enemy is the billionaire class. Not the Muslims, Mexicans, blacks, libs, etc. That's why they feel so downtrodden. Would that they would ever wake up. Would that they would listen to Liz and Bernie and do some thinking.

I think it was rachel maddow who made the perfect analogy, a billionaire has 12 cookies, he takes 11 for himself and breaks the 12th one in half and gives one half to a working class white guy and the other half to a working class black guy, then he tells both of them "I think the other guys half is bigger than yours"

News reports claim flash- frozen clams are better tasting than fresh clams. That beach walk takes something out of them.

Can I just interject here with my reason these billionaires need a kick in the ass?

I hate that they are so DAMN CHEAP! All that money and not one smidgen of imagination about how to spend it. Big mansions, big ticket art bought at auction, fancy clothes and jewelry, wine cellars?

B.O.R.I.N.G.

Where are the 1000 mph rocket cars? The death defying parachute jumps from outer space? The risky investment in totally unknown artists? The personal R&D laboratory designing underwater cities?

These billionaires keep buying the same junk, drinking the same wine and eating the same food the rest of us buy, drink and eat. They just drink better wine and eat food made by expensive chefs.

But in less than twelve hours their wine and food will still be ordinary piss and shit.

If these people are so convinced of their inherent superiority to the rest of us I would like to some some evidence of that.

https://www.businessinsider... This is a very good article with a nice graph (Visual aids!) that shows the history of taxes and how we did so much better economically for everyone when the top tax rate was way way higher. I remember my dad paid either the 50 or 70% rate for the longest time. We weren't billionaires but we wanted for absolutely nothing and had a vacation home and college paid for. I just get very angry with the mega-wealthy whinging about their taxes. On Dave Ramsey's radio show he said "The only thing that happens when you raise taxes on the wealthy is the cost of everything you buy goes up." No Dave. It doesn't. But now all your poor listeners will believe that and keep voting Republican. Thanks Dave.
