A seventh-grade boy in Jackson Township, Ohio, shot himself in a school restroom last week; police said yesterday in a news conference that memos he'd written on his cell phone indicate he had planned to commit a mass shooting , but apparently changed his mind at the last moment and used the gun only on himself. The 13-year-old died later at a hospital.
I flagged it, but it didn't get removed. Hard to understand inconsistencies here at times. If you flag it now, there might be a different person on duty who may remove it.
If you read "A Mother's Reckoning," by Sue Klebold, she writes about her son's undiagnosed depression as one of the causes for what he did. And, the family didn't know or see any of the signs, especially if one is not familiar with the signs. And Sue Klebold herself said that depression doesn't look like it does on the brochures, where a kid is staring sadly out of a window. And Eric Harris seemed more the sociopathic of the two. So, there were definitely signs of mental illness that no one diagnosed.
I understand that. I guess a better rephrasing would be, "Who diagnosed the depression? When? Or is it just a convenient thing to latch onto because it makes explaining this easier?"
I didn’t mind Middle School, but we had Band, Flight Training on an old simulator, Science Club with Model Rockets and flying Model Planes, and Drama Club. I always worked on the stage crew and learned how to run lights, curtains, sound.High school was horrible for me. Only Annie Greensprings, TJ Swan, and weed made it tolerable. I quit after 3 years and tested into college.
It's been a while since I watched it, but I'm pretty sure there's little to no weapons in general society, just once they get to the "arena". And of course the other part of Battle Royale was that few of the students really wanted to be there, and chose to kill rather than die (once they found out hiding wasn't an option).
The boys and girls in the cliqueThe awful names that they stickYou're never gonna fit in much, kidBut if you're troubled and hurtWhat you got under your shirtWill make them pay for the things that they did"Teenagers", My Chemical Romance (with a disclaimer at the end of the video along the lines of "violence is never the solution, if you're hurting, seek help".)
That was stupid, are you in a kontest?
Bigoted comment vs Polish people. Be civil & polite.
Ignorant comment on your part vs. someone you know nothing about. Be civil and non-stupid.
Harassment flagged.
You poor little thing.

And leaving the flags permanently at half mast...

Well, in truth, it is a traditional value.
Not to Hawaii, we're smashing all records. We have strict gun laws
And a large body of water surrounding you to keep other states' laxer laws from circumventing yours (cf. Chicago).
