There have already been stories, for some years now, over some self-righteous pharmacists refusing to fill scripts. Most commonly it was pain meds/narcotics and the like, but yeah -- not without precedent. In Iowa, my daughter had a pharmacist give her loud verbal shit some years ago because she was requesting 'Plan B"pill, and I think she had to sign for it--- That pharmacist was let go a few months later. :)

Same pattern that's been showing itself ever since Reagan.

Betcha a Big Mac that Trump could not define "juggernaut" if his very life depended on it.

There has got to be some evidentiary standard for these so-called "sincere religious beliefs", besides just saying it! They should have to say where Jesus tells them not to sell medicine to people who want it, and how that fits in to their theological system.

I was a newspaper reporter 1966-2011, and people would wander in all the time with compelling -- to them -- stories. A lot of them were sever mental cases.

I always wonder what the response would be if my jehovah witness BIL refused to cover blood transfusions for his employees, or Christian scientists refusing to cover anything! Might be a different response

I think one of the biggest changes was covering kids till they were 26. We had Kaiser, which already did that, but it helped a lot of families.

What?? I have never heard of that! I would probably help if needed, at least to keep access to the kids, but a law?

Minor Children of Minor ParentsGrandparents may also be liable for child support of a grandchild under the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA).

This law allows states to require grandparents to be held liable for child support if the custodial parent is a minor and receives government support payments.

Put simply, let's say the parents are minors. One parent has custody of the baby and receives government assistance. The other parent is ordered to pay child support but doesn't have the money. The parent without the funds has living parents, however, who can then be held responsible for the child support payments.

States with laws requiring grandparents to pay child support include: Arizona, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio. Rhode Island. South Carolina, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Some states, like Maryland and North Carolina, also extend responsibility for child support to the parents of the custodial parent in addition to the parents of the noncustodial parent.https://www.findlaw.com/leg...

The funny thing is that a great many people have benefitted from legal abortion. Perhaps the majority. Even those asshole Republican college boys. That girl you hooked up with at the frat party at the beginning of last semester? The one who wouldn't respond to your texts afterward and went out of her way to avoid you on campus? Yeah, legal abortion is the reason you're not going to be saddled with child support payments for the next 18 years.
