I had my uterus yeeted for medical reasons. I support the right of my trans men friends to get it yeeted for whatever the hell reason they want or need. (Or to keep it. Most of them are content with top surgery and access to T.)

Yeeted Uterus would be a good band name.

Yeeterus Deletus is another term I've heard and I love it.

I'd put the mortgage on the fact that 98% of people have never even shared a space with a trans person, let alone met one.

Another terrific article. Excellent work lately, btw, presenting complex or nuanced issues in clear and accessible form--a significant political contribution in and of itself.

>sex change operations for minors

So is this Republicans admitting that it is, in fact, possible to change sex?

They're not sure, but anything that has "sex" and "minors" in the same sentence piques their interest.

It seems trite to simply say "None of us are free until all of us are free," so instead I wanted to share a historical tidbit I learned recently.

In 1969 Afeni Shakur was in a correctional facility awaiting trial as a member of the Panther 21 when outside the jailhouse a little scuffle between police and some bar patrons turned into a full fledged riot. The rioters were not shy about why they were standing up for their own rights and the inmates in the jail decided throw their own riot in solidarity.

All of this is a very long way of saying members of the black panther party were involved in a prison riot as part of Stonewall; we knew in the 60's that struggles for liberation are interconnected and it's about damn time we remember that.

OT but related. This documentary is currently in theaters in limited release and will be available on Netflix on the 27th:

I've heard lots of good things about it and it's certain to spark conversations.

Lost me at Renee Bracey Sherman, who was a giant fucking bully (to my daughter) in high school. Fuck her.

But otherwise, yup.

These unreconstructed people know that the propagandized voters will take the most negative associations so that they will gladly vote to destroy their own freedom (in the case of cis women voting for these chuds). And in unreconstructed territories it can be a recipe for success in keeping their voters fired up.

After all, the marketing is always "boys in girls' bathrooms," not "girls in boys' bathrooms." Have to reinforce the predator angle!

Not to mention the misogyny that makes anything associated with girls a step down for boys.

So yeah, damn right it’s the same fight!

I just need to pop in with this thought:

Where are the parents whose kids were forcibly transitioned and were forced and coerced into having surgery at school? Where are the lawsuits?

Oh, there are none? How shocking!

They're keeping quiet, because if they oppose the transing of their kids, they get "thrown into prison".

Quotes because I've seen this said with a straight (heh) face countless times.
