Some points:

The economy doesn't have agency, so it cannot do stuff. People did this.

Don't listen to economists, they're all charlatans or really really really bad at economics.

The howling monkey brigade has already been babbling about how it would be a "biased, purely political move" to lower interest rates before the election. These people never stop with this complete hypocrisy, and the press rarely (ha, never) calls them on it.

Just another one of the billion reasons Trump can't win. That asshole is going to take all the credit for the good economy in 2025 that happened as a result of the Biden-Harris Administration (and huge credit of course to Janet Yellen)work in building the economy up

>> so you would be forgiven if you thought the Fed had already landed us softly, with its song. <<

This is a perfect referential soft touch, especially given that it's a famous piece of music which I would never have encountered were it not for its use in a Chuck Jones/Mel Blanc comedy classic from the days of my youth, but not that youth. I mean, like, *before* the salad days, during the cookie season when I was eating a cookie so that I would stop annoying mom long enough for her to actually make dinner. Or was it the duck season? Either way, our Dok is a Jackson Pollock-level dab hand with the references.

Everyone who thinks about it for 6 seconds knows inflation was a global crisis, not a US phenomenon, in fact the US had the lowest inflation of the developed countries, amirite? Why isn't Old Handsome Joe arguing that more often?

I expect Harris to argue that point very effectively, and maybe it will actually sink into people's heads?

I got to admit if I were OHJB I'd be frustrated as fuck that people blame me for inflation, but don't give me any credit for historically low unemployment rates or for successfully transitioning the country out of the COVID credit. I wouldn't blame him for being bitter and frosty about it. I'd be very bitter and angry myself! It's hard to use the bully pulpit when people blame you for everything that is wrong, but refuse to give you any credit for what goes right.

I don't think Harris will encounter that same arrogance /stupidity from we the people. I think she'll make a stronger argument on the success of the Biden-Harris economic policy while being able to not associate herself with high egg prices or what not.

What else was going on in most of the 1990s when the US had a soft landing from a financial crisis? Oh, for most of the 1990s a Democrat was president.

I was reading this on the CNN website this morning and saw that the comments were full of outrage from repub stooges, claiming that the economic data was all fake news, spread by leftist pinko CNN. One of these idiots pointed out that the price of eggs was killing the economy. What a bunch of dumbshits.

i'm sure the 718% increase in profits at the largest egg producer is somehow a completely unrelated coincidence. christ these people are dense.

they need to realize that the CEO of whatever company they are slavishly defending is never ever ever ever going to give them a reacharound.

They're still running with the inflation thing. It's in every speech. And, of course, their cultists believe every word. They could be standing in water up to their necks and if Trump told them they were dry, they would believe it. The problem with that is that all of the rest of us live in the real world, we can read real economic data, and we know they lie like fiends.

You gotta wonder what goes on in a R's brain these days.

They don't want brown people coming here and taking low wage shit jobs that Americans don't want.

But their bosses send well paying jobs to Mexico and China.

I'm looking at you John Deere.

Maybe stop voting R?

Poor Turks. Thought oil might be useful someday. But then lost the war, their empire, the Arabs and the oil.

Hitler actually needed it. Needed it badly. Silly Brits said "Sorry ole chap, but no." At El Alamein.

Finally got Americans attention in 1972 when the Arabs shut off the oil.

Whar is a Pope leading a Crusade when you need one? Dang.

And now PAB.

Oil has gotten PAB's attention for sometime. Now he has a plan to lower energy costs.

Energy. Not just oil. Easy to say he doesn't know what he's talking about. Cause he doesn't.

Says he can lower prices without solar, wind and renewables.

Of course he can't. Those energies add to the supply and help keep oil prices down.

Oil cos, the drillers, banks and investors want HIGHER prices. They dunot want to spend more, pump more and ship more for LESS money. So PAB full of shit. Just listening to oil lobbyists.

"Drill baby drill" is just more bs. If there comes a big demand for more oil, then Iran, Russia, and the Arabs will simply pump more.

At $100 a barrell about 90% of the wells will make money. Will never get 100% cause some spent too much for too little oil. Like real estate, location, location, location.

It is what so-called Civilization runs on so interesting to learn. For me anyways.

Never forget that TFG bragged about helping OPEC and other oil producing countries ([cough] Russia [cough]) raise the price of oil. And yet his third-wit followers had the gall to complain about gas prices under President Biden.

Rumor has it that they plan on lowering the interest rate in September and the Republicans are pissed because it basically hurts their narrative of a crappy economy. So in summation, they wanna fuck American's because it's not economic, it's POLITICAL!

This coming outrage and then blocking of the border plan that THEY put out but nixed, should be some talking points.
