Not to be fucked with.
The US American election really got going when Donald Trump accused Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly of making menstruals at him during a Republican primary debate. And then Trump won the election, OBVIOUSLY.
(For foreign readers, we, the majority of Americans, apologize in advance for whatever happens. For real.)
And now that Megyn Kelly has a book to promote, she's A-TALKIN' about her hellish year of covering Trump.
For instance, Kelly fondly recalls the time she asked Trump that journalism debate question about his treatment of women, which obviously led to his pigfucker supporters sending her death threats, which then meant she, a mommy, had to have full-time security for herself, her wherevers, AND her family. Good times! And then there was that one time she was like, "Hey, Fox News, my employer? I am scared, can you fix it?" So of course, Fox president Bill Shine had to get on the phone and REMIND THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN NOT TO GET MEGYN KELLY KILLED. Shine even helpfully suggested to the campaign that if Kelly got murdered by a rabid Trump supporter, it probably wouldn't be Good News For Donald Trump. Yeah! This is a thing that happened! In America! America the beautiful! Land of the free! Home of the brave! Oh beautiful, for spacious skies, for amber waves of ...
“Michael Cohen, who is Trump's top lawyer and executive vice president with the Trump Organization had retweeted ‘let’s gut her,’ about me,” Kelly said. “At a time when the threat level was very high, which he knew. And Bill Shine, an executive vice president of Fox, called him up to say, 'You got to stop this. We understand you are angry but she's got three kids and is walking around New York.' ”
“And he didn't much care,” Kelly continued. “And what Bill Shine said to Michael Cohen was, ‘Let me put it to you in terms you can understand: If Megyn Kelly gets killed it is not going help your candidate.’ ”
Jesus hell. Kelly explained all this in an interview with Anderson Cooper. You can watch it!

It's almost like America "elected" a crime family to lead us, as opposed to a president.
According to Slate, Cohen's response to all this -- and just so you remember, Cohen is the weirdo "SAYS WHO?" guy who also claimed it is impossible by definition to rape your wife -- was to get on Twitter and call Kelly a snake and a psycho and a liar, because he didn't SAY the words that he didn't care if Kelly's family is unsafe. That's a nice rhetorical trick. He also wanted to argue the semantics of what "gut" means, because he had tweeted "let's GUT her" and did that fun "use the dictionary definition that is the THIRD dictionary definition of 'gut' and jump right over the SECOND dictionary definition which is 'scoop the innards out of a small animal or also Megyn Kelly.'"
Slate also reminds us, as if we needed reminding, that Cohen has a nasty history when it comes to the press, and also when it comes to just being a bad human being. Back when The Daily Beast published a deposition from Trump's first wife Ivana, where she said (HER WORDS) that he raped her, this is how Cohen handled The Daily Beast:
“I will make sure that you and I meet one day while we’re in the courthouse. And I will take you for every penny you still don’t have. And I will come after your Daily Beast and everybody else that you possibly know,” Cohen told the Daily Beast at the time. “So I’m warning you, tread very fucking lightly, because what I’m going to do to you is going to be fucking disgusting. You understand me?”
“You write a story that has Mr. Trump’s name in it, with the word ‘rape,’ and I’m going to mess your life up … for as long as you’re on this frickin’ planet … you’re going to have judgments against you, so much money, you’ll never know how to get out from underneath it,” he added.
God, he seems nice.
We surely are glad Trump's goons didn't have Megyn Kelly offed, because we feel like she's going to be one of the truth-tellers we need during the coming tribulations. (MY HOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED.) And, from what she said in a New York Times interview, it seems she knows it:
“The relentless campaign that Trump unleashed on me and Fox News to try to get coverage the way he liked it was unprecedented and potentially very dangerous,” she said, casual but animated behind her translucent desk. If he were to repeat the same behavior from the White House, she said, “it would be quite chilling for many reporters.”
Later in the interview, Kelly said "journalists need to steel their spines" for a Trump presidency, and we have nothing funny to add to that, because there is not a goddamn funny thing about any of this.

The vote counting machines are not connected to the internet. A hack like that would be virtually impossible.
And yet, she didn't say any of this until after the election and has her book coming out. No doubt taking a page from the dark days of the Dubyah administration, when no one spoke up in either the media or the administration insiders until much later. So much for caring about the country they claim to love.
