Exactly - murders still happen without guns, but (except for poison) the murderer has to be close to the victim, has to expend effort, has to hear and feel the victim's breath and their blood and their skin, and the victim has a better chance of fighting back.

Heck, I couldn't even pierce my brother's ear with a needle without getting the willies.

OMFG...PEOPLE THIS IS WHY YOU VOTE EVERY ELECTION. We not only in a war with white supremacists but also Christian supremacists! She know damn well she couldn't say this anywhere but Fox News or someone with actual balls would had gotten her all the way together! If she believes in a place of worship that's a great place for children to be mowed down by bullets with an assult weapon she's as mentally fucked up in the end head as we thought. No need to tell Fox News to fire her because they co-sign to this crap. No need to tell Trumpnuts she was wrong because she blonde, long legged and white so everything is all white for them. So disgusting what America has turned into. All because 77K in Wisconsin and 46% opted not to vote because of their purity tests and misogyny against a woman. Shameful.

Same as for Muslims. Just shoot or nuke everyone who needs antidepressants. Problem solved. Next.

There was the obligatory megachurch asshole weighing in, and he was talking about how people had to leave their backpack outside, but he had no problem with people carrying guns into his church, because whoa, guns are safe, backpacks are scary. Was probably ascart of some pro-choice person bringing those awful anti depressants into the lords house by way of backpacks.Any bad hombre planning evil was bound to be taken out by a cohort of ever vigilant Rambo`s before the 3rd pull of the bad trigger.

We don't know yet. Tuesday was a ray of hope.

This is beyond bizarre. In no other democracy do people have to worry about being shot down in churches because of a lack of gun control legislation.

In the U.S., there have been 307 mass shootings in 2017 already so unfortunately you can pretty much expect one almost every single day.http://www.abc15.com/news/n...

If you murder someone with a bat, a knife, or even your bare hands, you have to get in close giving them an opportunity to fight back and it is hard to dispatch more than one person at a time but with a gun, especially a semiauto with with a large magazine, you can stand off and mow down a large number of people in a very short period of time so let's cut through the bullshit around gun control

"The True Cost of Gun Violence in America" - By Mark Follman, Julia Lurie, Jaeah Lee, and James West, Mother Jones, April 15, 2015

http://www.motherjones.com/...

"In collaboration with Miller, Mother Jones crunched data from 2012 and found that the annual cost of gun violence in America exceeds $229 billion. Direct costs account for $8.6 billion—including long-term prison costs for people who commit assault and homicide using guns, which at $5.2 billion a year is the largest direct expense. Even before accounting for the more intangible costs of the violence, in other words, the average cost to taxpayers for a single gun homicide in America is nearly $400,000. And we pay for 32 of them every single day.

"Most Americans probably don’t even recall a less lethal rampage that took place just a few months after the Aurora tragedy, at the Clackamas Town Center near Portland, Oregon. When a gunman killed two people, wounded another, and took his own life at the shopping complex in December 2012, more than 150 officers from at least 13 local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies responded—an investigation that lasted more than three months and culminated in a report nearly 1,000 pages long. To calm the public, make repairs, and beef up security, the 1.5-million-square-foot mall shut down for three days during the height of the holiday shopping season, depriving 188 retail businesses of revenue."

Does letting people go armed to their house of worship count for mosques, too?

I was gonna go with "brains", but I like your answer, too!

Exactly. At rifle velocities, the bullet travels up to several times the speed of sound so by the time the first gunshot is heard, many people could already have been hit.
