Friendship Raffles and Fur Boa Crotch

The Chocolate Lovers Festival is happening this weekend, Feb. 7-8, in locations all over Fairfax. The events sound lame -- a "friendship raffle," a Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, and something called "Scouts and Crafts" -- but the concept of free chocolate completely overshadows embarrassment. Sexy Food Network celebrity chef and CakeLove Warren Brown will be at the Chocolate Challenge as guest judge. [ Chocolate Festival ]
Everybody knows that anything called a "lounge" in DC is a stomping ground for trashy girls with fried hair and toolbags in Affliction shirts. But you might have to make an exception for Lux's Level Fridays: there's a two-hour open vodka bar, $3 Miller Lites, and the chance to win VIP table service. Sign up here. Fridays, 9-11PM. [ Lux ]
Weekly: Eat Sunday brunch with a fat man in heels at Perry's Drag Queen Brunch in Adams Morgan. For $22.95, you get a buffet-style brunch, mimosas and perhaps a fur boa swathed across your crotch. The line to get in starts at 10: 30 AM, and it's first come, first served. [Perry's ]
New: Ben's Chili Bowl, DC's biggest attention whore, has opened up a new restaurant, Ben's Next Door, which is located literally right next door. It's comfort food on fancy plates, with hand-cut instead of frozen fries, but you can still order the chili half smokes from Ben's Chili Bowl right to your table. Unfortunately, Next Door is just as packed. [Daily Candy ]
Japanese fusion restaurant Sei is now open, so make sure you drop by and chow down on their small plate creations of sushi "tacos" and "fish and chips." [ Washington Post ]
