IIRC that rassler-like bald radio(?) guy who did a lot of yelling, didn't get as big a response as he seemed to expect.

On the other hand the moronic religious guy carrying on about Harris being the "anti-christ" was warmly received. So nice to see odd duck extreme religious types are so "woke" that women can now be the powerful "anti-christ" not merely temptress demons.

*The GOP’s Racism Broke AI*

It’s a sad statement on the modern GOP: the party’s racism is so deeply entrenched, so endlessly sprawling, that even artificial intelligence buckles under the task of cataloging it all.

According to Olbermann, the whole set was vetted by Shitler’s “people”—to use the term loosely—beforehand, and, incredibly—HAHA, JK—was originally even worse, because there is no bottom for racist nazi scum:

Also, taken out of which context? Is there a context where that joke *isn't* abjectly racist and insulting?

I'm dying to know.

"This rhetoric does not reflect GOP values"

Yes, it does. It 100% does.

Make America Hate Again

This wasn’t an accident. It was the point. It’s what MAGA was built on—a message to the white, the bitter, and the fearful that their ginned up anger is a rallying cry, a political stance, and a weapon. It's a promise that America belongs to them and no one else. It’s why Trump’s rallies don’t even try to reach beyond his hardcore base. The sad part is that, for as many reasonably-minded people as he'll lose because of this abomination, he'll gain just as many who want nothing more than a fourth Reich.

An Open Letter to Your Friend or Relative Planning to Vote for Trump: Your Vote for Trump Is an Endorsement of Bigotry, Cruelty, and the Erosion of Rights—No Matter the Reason You Give.

Ta, MM. There was an island of sinking (as well as stinking) garbage in the Garden last night. I used to perform at the Nuyorican Poets' Café (and am listed on their website as a founding poet). On behalf of my fellow humans everywhere, but especially my many friends, colleagues, and neighbors of Puerto Rico or Puerto Rican ancestry, I'm appalled. Shocked, but not surprised.

I'm sure Steven Miller or somebody will tell him to just toss them some more paper towels. They like paper towels.

The plot, such as it is, thickens... We've been hearing for days now about how influential Joe Rogan might be in the election, but didn't quite imagine it playing out like this.

"Singer Marc Anthony announced he is endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for president after he criticized Donald Trump’s treatment of Puerto Rico over the years.

Anthony voiced his concerns about the former president on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday, one day after the Trump campaign drew condemnation over right-wing comedian Tony Hinchcliffe opening a Trump a rally at New York City’s Madison Square Garden with a string of racist jokes, many of which targeted Puerto Rico and citizens of color."

"For those not terminally online and unfamiliar with Tony Hinchcliffe, he hosts a podcast called “Kill Tony.”".

Hm, a flash of self awareness.

So this Tony guy is basically a much less popular , and honestly worse comedian than Andrew Dice Clay was 35 years ago.

I guess he boosted his profile to tour the white supremacist comedy clubs.

I can't stand the "it's just a joke" excuse. Bill Maher uses it to the point that he's made it the name of his company: "Kid Love" is a reduction from "I kid, I kid, it's all love, all love..." It's all bullshit.

Donald Trump spokesperson Karoline Leavitt visited “Fox & Friends” early Monday to impart questionable spin on the rampant racism at the Madison Square Garden rally for the Republican nominee. “Look, it was a comedian who made a joke in poor taste,” Levitt answered. “ “The joke fell flat, but the crowd was there because they know who President Trump is and they know he wants to be a president for all Americans,” she added.

Leavitt conveniently left out that Hinchcliffe launched several offensive barbs, including a bit about Black people carving watermelons instead of pumpkins, while other speakers contributed to the hate. https://www.huffpost.com/entry/katherine-leavitt-fox-friends-madison-square-garden-rally_n_671fb85ce4b07a6029baa752

Sure, Trump wants to be a president for all Americans; so does Stephen Miller; they just have a different definition of "American" from the rest of us.
