I worked at a Wendy's in an affluent suburb down the street from the high school and across the street from a shopping plaza. Between the kids, the workers at the stores across the street, and the customers at those stores, lunch hour was lit. We had a management team come in one day during the lunch hour rush and decide the guy on the grill wasn't doing his job exactly to spec and chose that moment to step in and give him remedial training. He blew up and told them he was in the middle of the lunch rush, indicating the line running out the door (along with the cars lined up around the store). They fired him on the spot.
The Ohio Secretary of State had their own bathroom off attached to their office so they didn't have to pee with the peons. Janitorial screwed up once and put the SOS toilet paper in the men's restroom in the Business Services Division. It was sweet. More plies than a regular person can imagine. Homeless people could have girded themselves for the winter storms with that roll.
The "these jobs are for teenagers" argument has always been dumb. If it was really only teenagers working, every fast food place would be closed during school hours M-F and they're obviously not.
Minor point about the restrooms specifically: People don't stop cleaning the restrooms for being under-payed, they stop cleaning the restrooms because they get punished if they don't do the gazillion other tasks they have to do. Most people show basic decency if they aren't abused.
There literally isn't a restaurant in America where a burger doesn't cost at least $12 for a combo, except for McDonalds because they are pure garbage disgusting. Even just a burger anywhere in Houston is $8 - $10 by itself, everywhere. Bunslut. Shake Shack. Buff Burger. Whataburger. Wendy's. Burger King. Pappa's. Burgerim. Any local small restaurant. etc.
Truth be told idk what a burger costs at McD's now. I haven't eaten food there in at least 15 years.
Of course. I’m not trying to imply it’s a matter of brattiness or something. But it’s also compounded by people dragging their feet when they don’t feel engaged in their work, or they are disgruntled. Feeling disrespected by an employer often results in a drop in productivity. I’ve worked in all forms of food service industry, and it’s a common experience when employees are angry and disgruntled that their least favorite tasks are the ones that get the least amount of attention from them, especially when they are the ones that get the most public attention. It’s both a result of feeling disillusioned as well as a tactic for getting heard.
It's a restaurant chain. Their schtick is that their waiters all act like dicks.
I've only seen him on a screen, and I hate his smell, too.

And that's how I went from fries to grill.
And you know Charles' is going to look like a Ken doll in a Barbie Dream Castle Playset at his coronation.
Leave? Just because they’ll only be making obscene profits instead of insanely obscene profits?
Not a chance.

He sure as hell didn't intervene. He took the money. The family didn't even get paid. Fuck him sideways.
Let's not forget the nail gun guy at the FBI. When his plan fell apart, he didn't. He stood his ground.

I mean shit he's not wrong, minimum wage should be like $25 everywhere.
I'm gonna be honest here.
